The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has completed the restoration and widening of a 9.3-km stretch of the Delhi-Meerut Road between Meerut Tiraha and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway at Duhai. The road, widened from 7 to 10.5 metres on both carriageways, now features improved drainage with nearly 6 km of new drains to address waterlogging. The stretch, heavily trafficked and previously damaged, was maintained by NCRTC during the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor construction and has been handed back to the Public Works Department for public use.
