
Noida International Airport (NIA) at Jewar has received mandatory security clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), marking a key regulatory milestone. Following this, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is expected to conduct a final inspection and issue the aerodrome licence within a week. The airport's first phase infrastructure, designed to handle 12 million passengers annually, is complete. Cargo and domestic flights may start within 45 days, with international operations anticipated by September. The inauguration date is yet to be finalized by the Prime Minister's Office.
