Coal mining operations have resumed at Central Coalfields Limited's Rajhara Colliery in Jharkhand's Palamu district after a 16-year halt since 2010. Union Minister Satish Chandra Dubey highlighted the project's significance for regional development, employment generation, and reducing migration. The mine holds 4.5 million tonnes of Grade-9 coal, with an annual production capacity of 0.30 to 0.50 million tonnes. Environmental clearance is valid until 2037, and efforts to renew operational consent are ongoing.
