Indian Railways Launches Rail Tech Policy and Digitises Railway Claims Tribunal

Indian Railways, under Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, launched the Rail Tech Policy and a dedicated Rail Tech Portal to foster innovation by startups, innovators, and industry. The policy simplifies proposal submissions, increases grants for prototype development and scaling, and encourages solutions in areas like AI-based safety systems and solar panels on coaches. Additionally, the Railway Claims Tribunal has been fully digitised with AI integration to enable faster, transparent, and accessible case processing nationwide as part of the '52 Reforms in 52 Weeks' initiative.
