Indian Railways Launches Rail Tech Policy and Digitizes Railway Claims Tribunal

Indian Railways launched the Rail Tech Policy and a dedicated Rail Tech Portal to foster innovation by enabling startups, innovators, and institutions to collaborate directly with the railways. The policy simplifies proposal submissions, increases grants for prototype development and scaling, and targets challenges like AI-based safety systems and solar panels on coaches. Additionally, the Railway Claims Tribunal has been fully digitized with AI integration to expedite and enhance transparency in claims processing, supporting the government's broader '52 reforms in 52 weeks' initiative.
