Tata Motors has introduced a new 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, named Hyperion, for its Harrier and Safari SUVs, and the revived Sierra. This BS VI Phase II compliant engine produces 170HP and 280Nm of torque, with a certified fuel efficiency record of 29.9kmpl. While launching a petrol engine in an era focused on emissions is seen as a bold move, Tata aims to offer a new option for consumers.
