
The Union Cabinet has approved the development of the Nashik-Akkalkot highway, a segment of the Surat-Chennai expressway, at a cost of Rs 19,142 crore. This corridor will connect to major expressways like Delhi-Mumbai and Agra-Mumbai, designed for speeds up to 100 km/h. Additionally, a two-lane highway in Odisha will be widened and strengthened for Rs 1,526.21 crore.
