In 2025, India Inc. is experiencing significant CXO mobility, with traditionally larger roles like CEOs and CFOs driving the majority of movements, despite higher percentage churn in positions such as CHROs and CSOs. While CHROs lead in turnover rates (22%), their smaller base means fewer absolute changes. Conversely, CEO and CFO roles, with lower churn (3%), account for the highest number of transitions, making up nearly half of all leadership changes. This trend highlights that actual leadership movement is concentrated in core executive functions.
