
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Urban Cruiser Ebella, its first battery-electric vehicle in India, marking the brand's entry into the electric SUV segment. The Urban Cruiser Ebella is a rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki's e Vitara, offering two battery options (49 kWh and 61 kWh) with a claimed range up to 543 km. It features Level 2 ADAS, an 8-year battery warranty, and a Battery-as-a-Service scheme. Bookings have opened with pricing expected soon, positioning the SUV against rivals like Hyundai Creta EV and MG ZS EV. Toyota emphasizes ownership confidence through service readiness and resale assurance as part of its multi-technology electrification strategy in India.
