Power Grid Corporation of India has emerged as the successful bidder for a 2,000 MWh battery energy storage project, set to be developed under a build-own-operate model with viability gap funding. The project includes a 150 MW, 300 MWh standalone battery storage system in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at enhancing grid flexibility and reliability.
