Uttarakhand Reports Over 50% GSDP Growth with Social and Infrastructure Advances

Uttarakhand's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) rose to approximately Rs 3.82 lakh crore in 2024-25, marking over a 50% increase since 2021-22, with a growth rate of 7.23% and a projected 8.2% for 2026-27. Per capita income increased to Rs 2,73,921. Social indicators improved, including a decline in the Multidimensional Poverty Index to 6.92%, higher Labour Force Participation Rate at 64.4%, and a Human Development Index of 0.722. Infrastructure expanded with more roads, heliports, and helipads, while MSMEs, startups, and large industries grew significantly. Health and education metrics also showed progress.
