The deadline to link Permanent Account Number (PAN) with Aadhaar is December 31, 2025. Failure to link by this date will render PAN cards inoperative from January 1, 2026, impacting financial transactions, tax filings, and access to government services. A late fee of ₹1,000 applies for linking after the deadline. However, individuals who obtained their PAN using Aadhaar enrolment ID before October 1, 2024, are exempt from this fee. Exemptions also apply to residents of Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, and senior citizens aged 80 and above.
