The Bhogapuram Greenfield International Airport in Andhra Pradesh is scheduled for its first commercial validation flight test on January 4. The project, initiated during the 2014-2019 NDA tenure, is being constructed by GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited on 2,200 acres at an estimated cost of ₹4,592 crore. The airport, designed to handle 6 million passengers annually, is expected to be completed by June 30 and aims to boost development in North Andhra districts.
