
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Micron Technology's Rs 22,500 crore Assembly, Test and Packaging (ATMP) semiconductor facility in Sanand, Gujarat, marking a key step in India's semiconductor manufacturing ambitions. The plant, featuring around 500,000 square feet of cleanroom space, will produce memory and storage products like SSDs, DRAM, and NAND for global markets. Approved under the India Semiconductor Mission, the facility aims to strengthen India's role in the global semiconductor value chain and generate significant employment opportunities.
