PM Modi to Inaugurate Micron's Semiconductor ATMP Plant in Gujarat on February 28

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Micron Technology's Rs 22,516 crore Assembly, Testing, Marking and Packaging (ATMP) semiconductor facility in Sanand, Gujarat, on February 28. The plant will produce memory and storage products like DRAM, NAND, and SSDs for domestic and global markets, supporting AI and advanced computing needs. Currently employing 2,000 people, the facility aims to create 5,000 jobs, including opportunities for specially-abled workers. Officials also announced that three more semiconductor plants are expected to begin production in India later this year, advancing the country's semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
