
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Micron Technology's Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging (ATMP) semiconductor plant in Sanand, Gujarat, on February 28. The facility, backed by a Rs 22,516 crore investment, is India's first of its kind and will produce memory and storage products like DRAM, NAND, and SSDs for domestic and international markets. Currently employing 2,000 people, the plant aims to create 5,000 direct jobs, including opportunities for specially-abled workers, while supporting the growth of India's electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
