Engineering goods exports from Tamil Nadu have increased, reaching $18.1 billion in FY25, up from the previous year. Between April and September 2025, exports were $13.6 billion, a rise from $12.9 billion in the same period of 2024. The automotive sector, particularly commercial vehicles and auto components, is identified as a key driver. Exporters suggest factors like increased invoicing due to tariff sharing, rupee depreciation, and pre-tariff order shipments also contributed to the growth.
