India's Ministry of Defence has signed contracts totaling Rs 4,666 crore for battle carbines and torpedoes, boosting defense stocks. Bharat Forge secured a Rs 1,667 crore deal for over 4.25 lakh carbines for the Army and Navy, aligning with the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. Additionally, a Rs 1,896 crore contract was awarded to WASS Submarine Systems of Italy for 48 heavyweight torpedoes for Kalvari class submarines, enhancing naval combat capabilities.
