
India is expected to achieve a third consecutive year of strong initial public offerings (IPOs), setting a new record, according to SEBI Whole-Time Member Kamlesh Chandra Varshney. By December of FY26, IPO fundraising surpassed ₹2.14 lakh crore, exceeding previous years. The market regulator has issued numerous observation letters and is processing several offer documents worth nearly ₹95,000 crore. Post-listing performance has been robust, with many IPOs generating significant gains. SEBI is also working on regulatory reforms through a new Securities Markets Code.
