Iran-US Conflict Threatens $1.3 Billion Indian MSME Investments in UAE

Approximately 800 Indian small and mid-sized enterprises have invested around USD 1.3 billion (Rs 12,000 crore) in the UAE over the past six months, primarily in retail and hospitality sectors. The ongoing Iran-US conflict has disrupted business and travel in the Middle East, putting these investments at risk. Experts note that smaller firms are more vulnerable due to limited financial resources and lack of war insurance. Despite current challenges, the UAE remains a key investment destination for Indian companies.
