Air France Bengaluru-Paris Flight Diverted to Turkmenistan Due to Engine Issue

An Air France flight from Bengaluru to Paris was diverted to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on January 12 due to an engine fault, causing passengers to be stranded for over two days. The flight, initially delayed at Bengaluru for technical reasons, made an emergency landing where passengers waited onboard due to Turkmenistan's entry rules before being accommodated in nearby hotels. A replacement aircraft was dispatched from Paris to resume the journey, with departure rescheduled for January 14. The Indian Embassy in Turkmenistan has assured full support to the affected passengers.
