Air India and Air India Express Begin Operations at Guwahati Airport's New Terminal 2

Air India and Air India Express have started all flight operations from the newly inaugurated Terminal 2 (T2) at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, enhancing air connectivity in Northeast India. The first Air India flight AI 879 from Delhi and Air India Express flight IX 1517 from Kolkata marked inaugural arrivals, with cultural touches like Assamese narikolor laru and gamusa presented to passengers. T2, inaugurated in December 2023, is designed to handle over 13 million passengers annually, aiming to boost regional connectivity, tourism, and economic growth.
