
India and Canada signed a $2.6 billion uranium supply agreement between Cameco and India's Department of Atomic Energy, securing 22 million pounds of uranium from 2027 to 2035 to support India's expanding nuclear energy program. The deal coincides with India's recent nuclear sector reforms and aims to enhance energy security and clean energy goals. Both nations also agreed to advance a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) by year-end, alongside cooperation on critical minerals, renewable energy, and technology, reflecting strengthened bilateral ties.
