Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved the second position in India's 2025 passenger vehicle sales, surpassing Hyundai and Tata Motors, according to Vahan portal data. The homegrown manufacturer registered 5.81 lakh units, driven by its SUV portfolio and new electric models like the BE 6e and XEV 9e. Maruti Suzuki maintained its market leadership with 17.50 lakh units sold. This marks a significant milestone for Mahindra, being the first time a utility vehicle-focused manufacturer has outsold rivals with broader product ranges.
