
Bharat Forge has secured its largest small arms contract, valued at Rs 1,661.9 crore, from the Ministry of Defence for supplying 255,128 CQB Carbines to the Indian Army. This indigenous weapon, designed for urban warfare and counter-insurgency, will be executed over five years. The contract aligns with the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' mission, emphasizing 'Made in India' defense equipment and enhancing the Indian Armed Forces' capabilities in close-range combat scenarios.
