Elon Musk Sues OpenAI and Microsoft Seeking Up to $134 Billion in Damages

Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft seeking damages between $79 billion and $134 billion, alleging they defrauded him by shifting OpenAI from a nonprofit to a for-profit model and profiting from his early $38 million seed investment. Musk claims OpenAI and Microsoft earned wrongful gains estimated between $65.5 billion and $109.4 billion, and $13.3 billion to $25.1 billion respectively. OpenAI and Microsoft deny the allegations, calling the lawsuit baseless and part of a harassment campaign. A jury trial is scheduled for April in Oakland, California.
