
The World Bank's executive board approved USD 680 million in loans for three projects in Assam aimed at enhancing climate resilience, education, and governance. The Assam Disaster Resilient Hill Roads Development Project received USD 350 million to build climate-resilient roads benefiting about 190,000 people. A USD 250 million loan supports the School Education and Adolescent Wellbeing Project for over 4 million students, while USD 80 million funds the Assam Governance and Service Delivery Program to improve public financial management and service delivery.
