Engineers India Limited (EIL) has begun construction of a Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Halkarni, Maharashtra, with a capacity of 5 tonnes per day. The project, presided over virtually by Secretary MoPNG Pankaj Jain, will process 125 TPD of press mud using bio-methanation technology. The CBG will be supplied for vehicular use, contributing to reduced emissions. The plant will also produce organic manure, supporting sustainable agriculture and aligning with national clean energy initiatives.
