Punjab and Himachal Pradesh Export Fresh Fruits to Oman for the First Time
Punjab's Ummat Agri Allied Cooperative Society exported fresh litchis to Oman for the first time, marking a milestone for local farmers and expanding India's agricultural exports under the India-Oman CEPA, as highlighted by Union Minister Piyush Goyal. Concurrently, Himachal Pradesh shipped its first consignments of cherries and plums to Oman, supported by state and central agencies including APEDA. These initiatives aim to enhance farmers' incomes and promote Indian horticultural products in international markets.
