Kerala Milma Recommends Rs 4 Per Litre Milk Price Hike Amid Board Protests

The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Milma) has recommended a Rs 4 per litre hike in milk prices to the state government, seeking its opinion before finalizing the increase. Some Milma board members protested the delay in implementing a higher price hike of Rs 10 per litre, citing concerns over farmers' income and production costs. Milma chairperson K.S. Mani stated that the federation awaits government approval and has increased subsidies on cattle feed to support farmers in the meantime.
