Indian Railways to Launch Nine New Amrit Bharat Express Trains Connecting Multiple States

Indian Railways is set to launch nine new Amrit Bharat Express trains connecting West Bengal and Assam with seven other states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. These non-AC, long-distance sleeper trains aim to enhance passenger comfort, improve connectivity, and support commerce and tourism. Fares are approximately Rs 500 per 1,000 km for sleeper class. The new services will link key routes such as Howrah-Anand Vihar, Sealdah-Varanasi, and Guwahati-Rohtak, offering modern amenities while remaining affordable for diverse passengers.
