Indian manufacturer Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) clarified that the issue pertains to a single batch (KA24014) identified in January 2025 due to a packaging anomaly. IIL stated this counterfeit batch is no longer available, was an isolated incident, and that all vaccines procured through authorized channels are safe and quality-tested. They urged Australia to review its advisory, deeming it overly cautious and potentially causing public mistrust.
