Trade at the Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Attari, a key route for importing dry fruits, fresh fruits, herbs, and spices from Afghanistan, ceased in April following a terror attack in Pahalgam. This halt also impacted the Joint Check Post (JCP) facilitating India-Pakistan travel. The ICP, established in 2012 with significant investment, has been inoperative for months, leading to an economic setback and ending a centuries-old trade association with Afghanistan.
