Middle East Conflict Disrupts Global Fertilizer Supply and Raises Prices

The Iran-US conflict and related Middle East tensions are disrupting global fertilizer supplies and increasing prices, affecting farmers worldwide. Around a third of fertilizer trade passes through the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has threatened to close. Natural gas supply disruptions, including reduced LNG to key Indian fertilizer plants, are impacting production.
