Jharkhand Advances Green Steel and Technology Investments at WEF Davos 2026

At the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren led discussions with global companies including Tata Steel, Hitachi, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys to promote sustainable industrial growth, green steel technologies, digital infrastructure, and skill development. Tata Steel committed over ₹11,000 crore for green steel projects, while talks with Hitachi and others focused on power transmission, AI, and workforce training. Soren emphasized Jharkhand's transition from a mineral-based economy to a future-ready, inclusive growth model aligned with environmental sustainability and employment generation.
