Ducati is set to launch its first motocross bike, the Desmo450 MX, in India by early 2026. The bike features a 449.6cc single-cylinder engine with Ducati's unique desmodromic valve system, producing around 62-64 hp and 53-54 Nm of torque. Designed for off-road racing, it includes a lightweight aluminium frame, Showa suspension, and disc brakes. Ducati showcased the model at the Indian Supercross Racing League finale, signaling its entry into India's off-road motorsport segment, though concerns remain about parts availability and maintenance costs.
