Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainsets Arrive in Bengaluru Amid Plans for New Long-Distance Services
Two Vande Bharat Sleeper trainsets manufactured by BEML have arrived in Bengaluru for commissioning and trial runs, with final routes yet to be confirmed. The trains are expected to enhance overnight connectivity, including a proposed Bengaluru-Mumbai service announced by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Western Railway has also proposed Vande Bharat Sleeper services on Mumbai-New Delhi and other long-distance routes, planning expansions based on strong demand and high occupancy of the first sleeper train between Guwahati and Howrah.
