Chandigarh Auctions Vehicle Number CH01-DD-0001 for Record Rs 53.88 Lakh

Chandigarh's Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) set a new record by auctioning the vehicle registration number CH01-DD-0001 for Rs 53.88 lakh, the highest ever in the Union Territory. The auction, held from March 4 to 6, sold 591 fancy numbers, generating Rs 4.48 crore in revenue. Senior BJP leader and former mayor Davesh Moudgil purchased the top number for his Toyota Fortuner Legender. The city's growing demand for exclusive numbers reflects rising affluence and has generated significant revenue over the years.
