Power Grid Corporation of India has secured a 2,000 MWh battery energy storage project in Andhra Pradesh through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project, awarded on December 29 and operating under a Build-Own-Operate model with viability gap funding, aims to enhance grid flexibility. This development follows a period of underperformance for the company's shares, which have declined by approximately 15.58% over the past year.
