
The Henley Passport Index 2026 ranks Singapore as the world's most powerful passport, offering visa-free access to 192 destinations. Japan and South Korea share the second spot with 188 destinations. India has improved its ranking to 80th, providing visa-free access to 55 countries, up from 85th with 57 destinations in 2025. This reflects a widening global mobility gap, with Afghanistan at the bottom with access to 24 destinations. The index, based on International Air Transport Association data, assesses 199 passports against 227 destinations.
