India is planning a ₹2,000 crore initiative to upgrade technology for its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost exports and efficiency. This move is partly in response to several countries, including the European Union, UK, Norway, Canada, Australia, and Taiwan, implementing or planning carbon taxes and border adjustment mechanisms on imports. These measures aim to address climate regulations and encourage greener production.
