China will reduce import tariffs on a range of products starting in 2026, including key commodities like recycled black powder for lithium-ion batteries and medical supplies such as artificial blood vessels and diagnostic kits. The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council announced that provisional import tariff rates for 925 or 935 products will be set below most-favoured-nation rates. These adjustments aim to support strategic sectors, lower costs for essential materials, and encourage trade.
