Reliance Industries is resuming modest purchases of Russian crude oil, with at least three tankers carrying approximately 2.2 million barrels of Urals crude en route to its Jamnagar refinery on India's west coast. Deliveries are expected early this month. This follows a brief halt in purchases due to increased US scrutiny and sanctions on Russian energy companies. The crude will be processed for domestic fuel consumption. Reliance was previously a major buyer of Russian oil, with India and China serving as key markets after Western nations shunned Russian energy.
