The Union Fertilizers Minister has launched a new integrated e-bill system to process approximately Rs 2 lakh crore in fertilizer subsidies. This digital platform replaces manual, paper-based processes with a fully online workflow, aiming to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability. The system, a collaboration between the Department of Fertilizers and the Controller General of Accounts, provides real-time oversight, a centralized digital audit trail, and aims to accelerate subsidy payments to fertilizer companies.
