MRF Signs MoU to Invest Rs 5,300 Crore in Tamil Nadu Tyre Plant

MRF has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with the Tamil Nadu government to establish a greenfield tyre manufacturing facility at the SIPCOT Industrial Park in Sivaganga district. The project involves an estimated investment of Rs 5,300 crore over 12 years and aims to generate around 1,000 direct jobs. The agreement is subject to approvals including a customised incentive package, land allocation, and statutory clearances. MRF currently operates multiple manufacturing units across India and reported a 15% increase in consolidated income for the quarter ending December 2025.
