The Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) 2017-18 Series XIII, maturing on December 26, 2025, has yielded a significant return for investors. The Reserve Bank of India has set the redemption price at Rs 13,563 per unit. Investors who purchased the bond at the original issue price of Rs 2,866 per gram (or Rs 2,816 for online buyers) stand to gain approximately 382% in value due to the appreciation of gold prices over the past eight years.
