The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has revised its testing permission process to accelerate drug approvals. Now, No Objection Certificates for drug sample testing at designated government laboratories will be issued immediately upon application receipt, replacing prior detailed scrutiny before testing. Applicants must submit finalized regulatory specifications upfront, with technical evaluation deferred to later stages. This change aims to expedite file movement while maintaining compliance with pharmacopoeial standards and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
