The central government has approved two significant highway projects totaling Rs 20,668 crore. The larger project is a 374-km, six-lane greenfield corridor connecting Nashik and Solapur, slated for completion in two years at a cost of Rs 19,142 crore. Additionally, Rs 1,526 crore has been allocated to widen and strengthen a 206-km stretch of National Highway 326, also expected to be finished within two years.
