Rs 236 Crore 'Mission Queen Pineapple' Project Launched to Boost Tripura's Pineapple Sector
The Rs 236 crore 'Mission Queen Pineapple' project was launched in New Delhi to enhance Tripura's pineapple sector over three years. Jointly initiated by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, and Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath, it aims to develop a value chain for cultivation, storage, processing, and export. The project involves multiple central agencies and state contributions, focusing on infrastructure and supporting tribal growers of the GI-tagged Queen Pineapple variety, known for its quality and export potential.
