The Nepal Oil Corporation has started distributing half-sized 7.1 kg LPG cylinders to manage demand, leading to long queues in Kathmandu despite normal imports from India. Concurrently, the government approved petrol containing up to 10% ethanol derived from agricultural waste to reduce fuel imports and support local industries, aiming for cleaner energy and import cost reduction.
